Travertine Bathroom Sets: What to Look For Before You Buy

Northew

A matching travertine bathroom set is the quickest way to make a vanity feel calm and finished. Here is what to look for.

Which pieces do you actually need?

  • 3-piece: soap dispenser, toothbrush holder or tumbler, and a tray – perfect for a guest bath.
  • 5-piece: adds a cotton or Q-tip jar and a soap dish.
  • 7-piece: adds a toilet brush holder and a second jar, so the whole room matches.

Solid stone vs coated resin

Many inexpensive "stone look" sets are resin. Solid travertine or marble is heavier, cool to the touch and will not peel or yellow. Each of our pieces is turned from a single block, so tones and veining vary slightly — which is what makes a set look natural rather than mass-produced.

Choosing the stone

Beige travertine suits warm woods and brass; silver travertine and white marble suit grey tiles and chrome; Calacatta Viola and Rosso Levanto are statement choices for a moody powder room.

The pump matters

Look for a metal pump that unscrews for refilling. Ours come in brushed gold or silver to match your faucet.

Care

Travertine is naturally porous, so sets are sealed before shipping. Rinse soap residue weekly, dry the base of the dispenser and reseal once a year.
